Certificates of analysis for every LiveWell batch
Certificates of analysis are the primary record of what is actually inside a research vial. Consequently, every LiveWell batch ships with its own lot-specific document rather than a generic sample. Use the library below to find the record for the lot number printed on your vial. We are republishing downloadable certificate files lot by lot. If the lot you need is not downloadable yet, email support and we will send it to you directly.
Each certificate reports identity and purity for one specific production lot. Current certificates report HPLC purity and mass spectrometry identity confirmation. We are expanding the panel to add water content and endotoxin testing, and we will publish those values on the certificate once that testing is running rather than describe it beforehand.
How to read certificates of analysis
First, match the lot number on the certificate to the lot number on your vial. If the two do not match, the document tells you nothing about the material in front of you. Next, check the HPLC purity figure; LiveWell targets 99% or better, while the broader industry standard sits near 98%.
Then confirm the mass spectrometry result, which verifies that the molecule is the compound named on the label rather than a similar sequence. Finally, look for the endotoxin value from a Limulus Amebocyte Lysate assay. Many vendors skip this test, so whether a certificate carries one tells you something about the vendor. Our certificates do not carry an endotoxin value yet. That testing is being added, and we would rather say so than let you assume it. Reference methods and acceptance criteria generally follow USP conventions.

What are certificates of analysis?
A certificate of analysis is a laboratory document that reports the identity, purity, and contamination testing for one specific production lot. Therefore, it applies to that lot only.
Why do lot-specific certificates of analysis matter?
Because purity varies between batches. A representative or year-old document cannot tell you what is in the vial you received, which is exactly the gap that caused problems elsewhere in this industry.
Who performs the testing?
Every certificate names the laboratory that produced it, so you can weigh the result yourself. We are moving batch release testing to an accredited third-party laboratory, and certificates will name that lab as those results come in.
What purity should certificates of analysis show?
LiveWell targets 99% or higher by HPLC on every batch. In comparison, the common industry standard is 98%.
How do I request a certificate before ordering?
Email support and name the product. We will send the certificate for the lot you would actually be shipped, so you can read the specification before you commit.
What if a batch does not match its certificate?
Contact support. We investigate and replace the material, because the documentation is only worth anything if we stand behind it.
